Convicted murders' Harlow Cuadra and Joseph Kerekes' infamous house was sold for $573,434.00 at foreclosure, then re-listed for $415,000.00. Shortly thereafter the price was reduced to $399,000.00 and then to $365,000.00. (It's been hard to keep up).
The latest REIN listing is no longer valid, and reality company Long & Foster is now reporting: "No property detail found. The property is no longer active."
Did it finally sell, or was it taken off the market?
I guess we'll find out soon. :)
Update 10/09/09: There's been no legal changes mentioned on the Virginia Beach Land Records Site... nor has the house been re-listed on REIN. Looks like we're looking at a pulled listing.

Earlier I said not a sou over $350k, and I think that's accurate. I think it would be cute for everyone in the Norfolk area or traveling through there to call Long & Foster and ask for a walk-thru, acting all interested. This could get to be a regular tourist attraction as the place where more seed was spilled than at an Iowa grain elevator.
ReplyDeleteSort of wonder what happened, the house was not listed long(apparently) at the reduced price. Seems like the last price should be close and should have gotten a bid, at least.
ReplyDeleteMaybe they are considering a bid?
I just saw a brief TV news show about short sales in real estate that notes the sale takes months to clear.
ReplyDeleteWonder if that is what is happening? :)
